Teacher Training via the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP)

I began my GTP in February 2005 at a Suffolk High School. I enjoyed my training year and felt supported by the school and the course.

I found that the on the job experience was second to none and the way the timetable increased each term was at the right pace.

I have been increasing my workload and responsibility as a result of the graduated year on GTP.

I am now an effective teacher who loves his job, I feel pleased that I chose this route as it has certainly suited me and I am now seeing the benefits of the experiences gained.

I am now well into my NQT year with a strong foothold in the school. I have organised Activities week this year, have given a PD day presentation to the whole school, I have exciting projects lined up for next year and feel I have this opportunity because of the training I received.

I would certainly recommend the GTP and look forward to Lifelong learning.
